Our mission is to bring together entrepreneurial students from diverse backgrounds and support them on their journey. We are actively engaged and well-connected in Berlin's startup ecosystem, in which our yearly organized events START Call and Berlin Demo Day have become an integral part.

Our members and alumni founded several startups after or during their time with START and are a great example for the entrepreneurial spirit within our community. As a member you will be part of the START Network, a syndicate of 9 chapters from all over Europe that all share the same mission. The network comprises over 300 members, spans 6 different countries and was founded in St. Gallen in 1996.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: START is what you make out of it! As a START member, you have the opportunity to decide on which projects and tasks you would like to work (e.g. Sales, Operations, Marketing). You can hands-on build up your desired skills and grow as a person. At START Berlin we have several possibilities to gain experience in project management and leadership.

INSIGHTS: Gain valuable insights into the startup world. Learn about methods like design thinking, the process of fundraising, how to organize an event with more than 500+ attendants and much more.

NETWORK: Become part of our extensive network and connect yourself with like-minded people within our community and the Berlin startup scene. We also join events from other START chapters like the START Summit in St. Gallen just to give you one example how far this can go.

FUN: We like to do stuff together, like going to a bar, making dinner together or having BBQ in the summer in our spacious backyard. As you can see we also like to take funny pictures 😉

STUDENTS: Students from all backgrounds  with an interest in entrepreneurship and the Berlin startup scene

AMBITION: Ambitious individuals that like to take ownership and are open to take on new challenges

MEETINGS: You should be available on Wednesday evenings as this is when our weekly meetings take place in the Gründerhaus of the Humboldt University always starting at 7pm

COMMITMENT: You should be willing to dedicate 5-10 hours per week towards our mission (workload of course varies and we are all students that know how busy examination periods can be)

VOLUNTARY: Please note that all our members are engaged inside START Berlin on a voluntary basis and are therefore not paid
